6 Last-Minute Gifts For Your Coworkers
We all do it: wait until the last minute to buy our Christmas gifts for coworkers (or loved ones). Whether it’s because you’ve been heads-down on a deal or because you’re still thinking about new revenue channels for 2015, the list we’ve compiled can help you find last-minute gifts for your coworkers.
Happy Holidays!
Magazine subscription. Magazine subscriptions are great last minute gifts because all you need is a card and a print out of the magazine cover. If you want to keep the subscription work-related, try magazines focused on business growth (i.e. Entrepreneur, Inc, M&A, P&I) or those with an industry-specific focus (like Oil & Gas Investor or Retailing Today).
Books. If you like the idea of reading material, but don’t think a magazine is best, why not try a book? Earlier this year, we published a list of recommendations. Whether your coworker is looking to build relationships with new contacts, improve relationships with existing contacts, or simply become a better leader, these books are must-reads.
Coffee/Tea. Working in the private capital markets can be exhausting — and often requires a healthy dose of caffeine to see a deal across the finish line. If one of your coworkers is particularly fond of caffeinated beverages, you can get them some interesting coffee and/or tea varieties. There are some subscription services that send different types of coffee or tea every month. A few leading ones are: Craft Coffee, Drift Away, and Tea Sparrow. You could also get them a fun mug to go along with it.
IPO creeper. If your coworker just had a baby, why not consider an infant-related gift? I’m particularly partial to an infant creeper by cafepress that reads, “Initial Public Offering.” It’s so cheesy that it’s great.
Airplane pillow. Deal professionals spend a lot of time in transit — traveling regularly from the office to management meetings and industry conferences. To make this trips a little less painless, consider getting your coworker a comfortable airplane pillow or a deluxe eye patch. These should take the edge off some of those worst flights.
Axial membership. Of course, if you want to give a gift to your entire firm, you should consider Axial membership. Competition is heating up for both buyers and sellers in the private capital market, and starting 2015 on the best foot — especially with comprehensive business development strategies — is a way to outpace the competition.
