As we head into 2016, planning is top of mind for virtually everyone. Whether you’re thinking about pipeline and projections or budget and travel, there are plenty of thing to consider as we head into the near year.
In an effort to make at least part of your planning process easier — and as a follow up to our travel planning article a few weeks back — we’ve put together a list of some of the noteworthy industry events in Q1 2016.
January 11-15 – J.P. Morgan 34th Annual Healthcare Conference, San Francisco
While this conference is invite-only, the J.P. Morgan annual event is a must-attend for many in the industry. From members of the investment community to industry leaders, emerging companies, technology firms, and service providers from across the globe, this conference is sure to gather plenty of big names in healthcare.
January 12-13 – iGlobal Forum Specialty Finance Summit, New York
More than 200 senior executives from specialty finance companies, marketplace lenders, BDCs, SBICs, private equity firms, hedge funds, senior lenders, and asset managers will gather at this two-day event in Manhattan for networking, workshops, and roundtable discussions. Topics of conversation will range from changes in the credit cycle to the sustainability of online marketplace lending.
January 13-15 – AM&AA Winter Conference, Orlando
Ditch the cold (or not-so-cold — we’ll see!) weather and head down to Florida for the first of AM&AA’s duo of annual conferences (the other one is held in Chicago over the summer). Approximately 500 finance professionals from around the globe will attend to discuss challenges and pressures in the year ahead.
February 9 – Axial Atlanta Summit 2016, Atlanta
You asked, and we listened; we’re happy to announce Axial’s first ever summit in the south. More than 125 Axial members will gather for an evening of cocktails and conversation at a downtown Atlanta hotspot. This event will take place a day ahead of ACG’s annual event, so if you’re already coming in from out of town, be sure to make the most of your trip< and stop by!
February 10 – ACG Atlanta, Atlanta
More than 1000 attendees will gather for this annual Capital Connection event at the Georgia World Congress Center. Be sure to take advantage of the networking opportunities, panel discussions, Private Equity Showcase, and Reverse Capital Connection over the course of the two-day event. And don’t forget to stop by for a drink and a photo opp at the College Football Hall of Fame opening reception.
February 24-25 – SBIA Southern PE Conference, Manalapan, FL
This is one of of SBIA’s four annual private equity conferences around the country. Gather with other attendees at the Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa for two days of networking and content surrounding legislation and regulatory issues. Another pro? If you’re a golfer, opt in to some friendly competition by joining the 18-hole golf tournament on day one of the event.
February 25 – ACG NY 8th Annual Healthcare Conference, New York
Close out the month of February with the ACG New York community at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan. Attendees at this event — an array of investment bankers, private equity firms, lenders, and operating executives — will gather for an evening of healthcare-related content and networking at this annual event.
March 2 – iGlobal Forum Co-Investment Summit, New York
As the popularity of co-investing increases among members of the GP and LP communities, iGlobal Forum invites you to spend a day with investment professionals to discuss risk & return, deal flow, and a variety of investment strategies. Additionally, there will be case study presentations and one-on-one networking opportunities for GPs and LPs.
March 9-10 – ACG Texas Capital Connection, Houston
More than 1300 attendees will gather at this year’s annual ACG Texas Capital Connection at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The largest private equity event in Texas, this annual Capital Connection event will bring together financial services professionals from around the Southwest for a day and a half of networking. If you’re free, be sure to catch American Apparel CEO, Paula Schneider, for her keynote address.
March 16 – Axial San Francisco Summit 2016, San Francisco
