Acquired Business

Location: Middle Atlantic

Description: Business Solution Partners is a NetSuite solution provider that solves for complex manufacturing and distribution requirements and builds custom solutions for individual customers and whole industries. As one of NetSuite’s first partners 35+ years ago, BSP has completed more than 600 implementations.

Reason for exit: The management team was looking for liquidity, a partner to grow the business, and a chance at a second bite of the apple.

Columbia River Partners is a seven-person independent sponsor with a large advisor network and three locations up and down the West Coast. CRP has completed 12 investments since its founding in late 2019; seven of which are active platforms, plus another five add-on acquisitions.

Early in CRP’s second year of membership, the team used Axial to identify an IT services business represented by Linda Rose of RoseBiz, Inc. Linda, an Axial user since 2021, had found success in her first year on the platform and had already closed one deal through Axial. Because of that, she was confident in the list of buyers that her Axial project had returned, and she began having conversations with potential acquirers.

Initially, CRP did not win the bid for Business Solution Partners, but when they had the opportunity to revisit the transaction several months later, the two came to a deal that worked for both sides. The transaction closed in early 2023, and CRP was ready to find growth opportunities.

Just 66 days later, CRP pursued their next successful deal on Axial — this time an add-on acquisition. That business, Net Activity, is now part of Custom Computer Specialists, a CRP portfolio company since 2022.
